Independent Colleges of Indiana, Inc. Partners with SchoolDude.com to Provide Operations Management Applications for Members
Indiana Higher Education Institutions Gain Affordable, Market-Leading Technology
CARY, N.C. (August 22, 2008) - SchoolDude.com, the nation's leading provider of on-demand operations management solutions for educational institutions, announced today that it has signed an agreement with the Independent Colleges of Indiana, Inc. (ICI) to provide web-native support services management solutions to the organization's members.
The partnership will enable ICI members to purchase SchoolDude's on-demand applications at affordable, discounted rates. SchoolDude's products are designed specifically for educational institutions and include solutions for work order processing, technology incident management, preventive maintenance, IT asset management, capital planning, event management and scheduling, trip management, utility tracking and inventory management. Because SchoolDude's application services are delivered over the Internet, the technology is affordable for both small and large colleges and universities.
The 31-member organization pursued a partnership with SchoolDude, the creator of the most widely used computerized maintenance management system in higher education, based on the company's proven solutions and solid following among Indiana educational institutions. "We have been seriously engaging our physical plant directors to determine their needs and found that their information needs can be met well with SchoolDude's applications," said Bob Hodge, ICI's executive director of collaborative services. "Applications hosted off-site avoid one of the greatest obstacles for success in a campus environment. Plus, SchoolDude has a variety of applications that are already being used by our campuses. By their current use and very positive evaluations, our campuses have already ‘voted' for SchoolDude."
Hodge added, "This confidence from our members, plus the ease of crafting a solid, mutually advantageous agreement based on the partnership work done early by the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association, made SchoolDude a natural partner to pursue. They proved to be very adaptable to the way we do business, while assuring consistently good services."
SchoolDude clients included in the partnership realize the benefits as well. Wendy Yagodinski, programmer analyst at Trine University, said, "The partnership between ICI and SchoolDude [recognizes] that SchoolDude is able to handle our unique needs in facilities management in a campus setting. We have come to expect that if ICI represents a product, it will be a benefit to our university. We love that SchoolDude specializes in the higher learning business. They understand our issues and have many clients just like us that can collaborate on information, which allows them to improve their software and our facilities management."
More than 100 colleges have selected SchoolDude in the last 18 months, with more than 300 now served nationwide. In Indiana, 45 educational institutions are already utilizing SchoolDude's on-demand solutions, including Earlham College, Indiana Wesleyan University, Manchester College, Saint Mary's College, Trine University and the University of Saint Francis.
